Don’t be fooled by that hint of a smile. This kid was not amused and immediately burst into tears about 2.5 seconds after this photo was taken.
I was planing on posting a brilliant Pinterest project – those salt dough ornaments that everyone is raving about? Except that my attempt at them on Sunday was a complete and utter failure. The middles of the ornaments didn’t dry, the outsides are cracking and only one actually resembles Jake’s handprint.
So it looks like we’ll be giving it another go this weekend, with different measurements of water, salt and flour than we tried last time. Oh Pinterest, you make it look so easy sometimes.
Taking a step back to Thanksgiving for a minute though – we host a ginormous dinner every year (see the past two here and here). When we got married, Adam declared that we needed to own a holiday. And since we both love to eat and cook, well, Thanksgiving seemed to be the obvious choice.
So a couple years ago I created this simple bunting that we could hang up every year over the food table. And I posted it as a free download, only I used Scribd and apparently they now require a subscription for your downloads.
So here it is again – this time as a Google Drive PDF. Feel free to download, print, hang and enjoy!PAGECHECK
